September 19 has always been a bittersweet day for me. Not only would it have been my mother’s birthday today, but also it is the anniversary of my Fraternity’s (Iota Phi Theta®️) founding (55 years! OW! OW!).
One other thing that used to make this day a little less challenging was that it was the birthday of my mother-in-law as well. She passed away in July so this year makes this September 19 even more emotional. Compounded with the current state of my marriage and understandably, I am sadder than normal right now.
September 19 will also mark a new beginning in my life later today (positive) so my emotions are truly all over the place. Looking forward to making a decision rather than having decisions made for me which has been the case for the last couple of years.
Praying that this day ends on a happy note.
